The Bendigo Building: Godwin Capital Submits Plans for Major Student Accommodation Project in Nottingham

Continuing their mission to regenerate the UK’s cities centres into modern and vibrant new developments that serve the local community, Godwin Capital (via Godwin Developments) has submitted proposals for a 692-bed purpose built student accommodation scheme in the heart of Nottingham city centre.
The project will replace the abandoned Royal Mail sorting office, which has been vacant for nearly 20 years, with a mix of studio apartments, four, five and six-bedroom clusters, and disabled-friendly studio rooms designed to serve Nottingham’s growing higher education student population.
Stephen Pratt, co-founder and board director at Godwin Developments, said: “We are confident that the Bendigo Building with its prominent location and high amenities provision will be popular with young people and will deliver attractive long-term returns to investors seeking to capitalise on the strong local PBSA market.”
